To All PSAC-YEU Local Y011 Yukon University Employees Union members:
We met the employer this week with the help of a conciliator. Despite our strong strike mandate, which we communicated to the Employer, they were unwilling to move at all on their wage proposal. Their position remains completely unchanged.
We deserve better and will fight for it.
Next Steps
We told the Employer that we remain willing to meet and negotiate if they have an improved offer on wages. But as of now, we do not have any dates planned.
We will continue to meet and consult with members about our next steps, but we will need to keep the pressure on the Employer.
Members have clearly indicated that they want a better deal than what the Employer has offered. We are prepared to lead the way to get us there.
