Yukon Government Bargaining Update #19

Strike Info Sessions for PSAC/YEU Members at Yukon Government

Conciliation is still scheduled for October 21, 22, and 23. Your bargaining team remains committed to presenting the strongest possible case to support our proposals.

Depending on the outcome of Conciliation, a strike vote may be on the horizon. We have organized several Zoom Strike Info Sessions to learn about the myths and realities around job action, why strikes happen, different types of strikes, essential services and strike pay.

Our priorities have not changed. The key outstanding issues remain as follows:

  • Monetary Items – the wage offer was inadequate and falls short of inflation.
  • Severance – this is a costly concession, and the Employer wants to stop severance accumulation on December 31, 2026.
  • Job Protections – stronger membership protections are needed if the Employer introduces any major restructuring.

*Please note: these sessions are not to be attended using the employer’s time, email, or equipment.
