From March 19 to 22, members from across the North BC and the Prairies joined together to take part in Step 2 of the Union Development Program for courses on The Workplace, Unions and Transformation in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Altogether, the UDP brought together 21 participants (7 from the Prairies, 7 from the North and 7 from BC) for their first face-to-face meeting. During the four days, participants reviewed their learning from Step 1, built relationships with one another, looked at issues of power and oppression, and how to foster collaborative relationships with allies. They also participated in the Winnipeg March 19th solidarity event (with Sister Robyn Benson as a guest speaker) during the lunch hour, and meetings with the REVPs from each region.
