The Seventeenth National Triennial Convention of the Public Service Alliance of Canada will be held at the Québec City Convention Centre in Québec City, Québec beginning Sunday, April 26 and concluding Friday, May 1, 2015.
Theme: Take a stand for fairness – our future depends on it
The theme of the 2015 PSAC Convention reflects our union’s longstanding commitment to advancing the rights of members to safe and secure employment, and to making sure that all residents of Canada have a decent quality of life, now and in the future. At this convention we will debate and decide the best way to defend the important gains we have made in the past, and build strength to break new ground. Since 2006, Canadians have suffered drastic cuts to federal public services and social programs, high unemployment and the elimination of thousands of good jobs. Workers are experiencing an epidemic of workplace stress and related health problems. The PSAC 2015 Convention will address how to turn things around. We will decide the course of action by sharing experiences, learning from each other, listening to invited guests, and voting on resolutions and a three-year budget. We will build the solidarity and vision we need to take a stand for fairness because our future depends on it.
