PSAC North and the Yukon Regional Indigenous Peoples Committee support “Warriors Walk for Healing Nations” in honour of 215 Kamloops children and those not yet found residential schools’ victims and intergenerational survivors.
“Warriors” will be starting their journey on June 26 and will walk from Whitehorse, Yukon to Kamloops, BC.
We encourage all our members to support “Warriors Walk for Healing Nations.” We will keep working in solidarity with Indigenous struggles for justice.
A National Indian Residential School Crisis Line has been set up to provide support for former Residential School students and those affected. Emotional and crisis referral services are available by calling the 24-hour national crisis line at 1-866-925-4419.
