The NWT Regional Women’s Committee is happy to support two of Yellowknife’s Womens’ safe houses on International Womens’ Day.
The committee donated a glider chair to Lynn’s Place, as well as dozens of gift bags of female hygiene products to women in need at both Lynn’s Place and the Alison Mcateer House in Yellowknife, safe places for women fleeing abuse in their community.
The committee also donated to the Fort Smith Womens’ Shelter and the Hay River Womens’ Shelter.
This initiative is part of their ongoing campaign to support and offer safe shelter for women in the North.
