Labour Day 2019

Labour Day is always an opportunity for all of us to celebrate our strong workers and resilient communities. It’s also a day to celebrate hope and pledge to work together for better future.

Members, supporters and the public across the North celebrated Labour Day last weekend and joined us for family events across the region. Labour Day events also gave an opportunity for our members and Union leaders to have face to face conversations with the public and politicians about issues that matter to you and your communities. Our members and volunteers promoted regional and national campaigns such as Universal Pharmacare, Childcare for All and Living Wage. We also launched our Northern Federal Election Priorities campaign.

The family events included free BBQs, entertainment, draws for prizes and much more!

Thanks to all volunteers, members and supporters who made Labour Day 2019 a great success in the North.
