Federal Election 2025
Strong public services strengthen local economies, ensure government programs are effective, and support the wellbeing of all workers and families. When these services are protected, communities thrive with confidence in the safety and reliability of essential services.
In this election, the future of public service jobs, collective bargaining, pensions, and the right to unionize are all at stake. The decisions voters will make at the ballot box will shape the future of Canada’s public services – whether they remain strong, are well-funded, or fall victim to deep cuts.
Strong public services ensure shorter wait times for maternity leave benefits, accessible programs, and efficient government support. Whether it’s affordable housing, healthcare services, or climate initiatives, public service workers are the backbone of policies that improve lives.
Cutting these services only increases costs and leaves communities vulnerable. What happens if wildfire fighters can’t reach your community in time, or if the safety of our food supply is compromised? We must invest in the services that keep our country secure and resilient.

Union members can play an important role in helping to organize volunteers and ensuring that our collective voice is heard at this pivotal moment. Public service workers keep Canada running, and one of the most important issues in this election is protecting public services and our members who deliver them.
PSAC’s For You, Canada election campaign includes materials designed to activate and empower members, help volunteers communicate key messages to candidates and the public, and ensure pro-worker, pro-public service candidates are elected in all three territories.
