Vigil in Yellowknife – National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada

The Status of Women Council of the NWT is hosting the annual December 6th Vigil in partnership with the Gender Equity Division of the Department of EIA to remember the fourteen women who were murdered in the Montreal Massacre at L’École Polytechnique. As violence towards women continues to remain a worldwide concern, we will also remember all the women and girls that have been lost to violence since then.

The vigil will be held at the Great Hall of the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, December 6th, 2022, from 6pm to 8pm. Everyone is encouraged to attend. There is no entry fee. Refreshments will be served.
