Help Re-Start the Access Committee: Join the Movement for Disability Justice in the North
Are you passionate about building inclusive, accessible workplaces and communities? Do you want to be part of a movement that amplifies the leadership of workers with disabilities and pushes for meaningful change in workplaces and the union?
The PSAC NWT Access Committee is ready to be restarted and needs members who believe in inclusion, accessibility, and disability rights at the heart of our movement.
Nothing About Us Without Us
The labour movement has always been about fighting for fairness and ensuring that no worker is left behind. We have a responsibility to amplify the voices of workers with disabilities, to fight for truly inclusive workplaces, and to make sure that accessibility and dignity are non-negotiable rights.
The purpose of the NWT Access Committee is to ensure that PSAC members with disabilities are given the opportunity to participate fully in their union and in their workplaces. In addition to participating in conferences, education, and training programs, and reviewing, discussing, and making recommendations on issues, policies, and strategies that affect members with disabilities, the committee represents members on the National Human Rights Committee and other PSAC National and Regional bodies
Meetings are open to all PSAC Members in Good Standing in the NWT with a disability. There is space for everyone who wants to make a difference.
