CLOSED: Politics for Everyone Course for Yukon Members

A two-day course that provides training around how politics affect our daily lives and how to become engaged in the political process. Participants will also receive training on how to build skills that will help explain the importance of politics to others and how to participate in the building of the type of society we want.

Have you ever wondered why Unions are involved in politics? Have you heard people say that you should be involved in politics? Did you ever wonder if politics is really as important as many people say it is? Then Politics for Everyone is a great course for you!

We are affected by the decisions of many levels of government as workers, voters and consumers. Politics for Everyone provides an opportunity to think about all those issues and for you to think seriously about the kind of government we want and the kind of society we want to build together.

PSAC will pay for travel, accommodation, loss of salary and benefits (where applicable). Family care will be reimbursed as per PSAC policy. In addition, participants that reside in Whitehorse are entitled to claim $50.00 dollars per day to offset the cost of transportation and lunch.
