APPLY: Introduction to Local Officer Training for Yukon Members

This is a two-day, introductory-level course for new or active Local Officers who need to know how to run a Local.
ABOUT
Sessions cover the role of the Local Executive; Local administration, including by-laws and budgets; effective communications and Local meetings; and how the Local can access the wider resources of the PSAC. A major theme throughout the course is the organizing model of unionism and how to build a strong union presence at the workplace.
PSAC will pay for travel, accommodation, loss of salary and benefits (where applicable). Family care will be reimbursed in accordance with PSAC’s Family Care Policy. In addition, participants residing in Whitehorse are entitled to claim $50.00 per day to offset transportation and lunch costs.

Preference will be given to those acting in Local Officers positions. Remaining seats will open to other members with an interest in becoming a Local Officer should space be available.
