PSAC North Workforce Adjustment Meeting – Parks

Monday, February 9

6:00 PM Mountain -

PSAC North Parks Canada Members:

As the Carney government rushes ahead with $15 billion in public service cuts, over 8,000 PSAC members in the North and across the country have received notice that their jobs are at risk.

The impact of these cuts will be felt, particularly by the more marginalized in our communities who depend on these essential services to be there when they need them, and especially in our region, where even the lightest cuts go deep.

We know this is a challenging and uncertain time for members as they navigate the implications of Workforce Adjustment. That’s why we’re inviting Parks Canada members in the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut to an online presentation designed to provide clarity and guidance on resources available to you during this process.

Join us for an online presentation and meeting to learn more about Workforce Adjustment; members from all three territories are welcome.

To obtain the Zoom meeting link, contact Vishwaamithran Ramakrishnan, PSAC North Regional Representative, Yellowknife or Mary Anne Walker, PSAC North Regional Representative, Iqaluit.

Can’t make it? Join our meeting on February 13.

PSAC continues to call on the federal government to reverse these reckless public service cuts and to work with unions to reduce costs without jeopardizing jobs and services.

We encourage members to explore the PSAC Workforce Adjustment Guide, seek information through official channels, and consult their Union representatives for support.
