Finalizing Conciliation Submissions & Mobilization Steward Sign-Up!
Since talks broke down, we have been meeting to review membership priorities and finalize our submissions for the Conciliation Board. Conciliation will take place October 21, 22 and 23 and can be extended through the weekend if needed.
Our meeting this past week included a final review to fine-tune our financial proposals before presenting the submissions. We want to present the strongest possible case to support our proposals.
Our priorities have not changed. The key outstanding issues remain as follows:
- Monetary items – the wage offer was inadequate and falls short of inflation.
- Severance – this is a costly concession, and the Employer wants to stop severance accumulation on December 31, 2026.
- Job Protections – stronger membership protections are needed if the Employer introduces any major restructuring.

If you haven’t already, please consider signing up as a Mobilization steward and serving as a worksite contact. Please sign up, it only takes 30 seconds.
