Yukon Arts Centre Bargaining Update: Tentative Agreement Reached

To all PSAC-YEU members working at Yukon Arts Centre, your Bargaining Team has reached a tentative agreement with the Employer and is recommending ratification.

What the tentative agreement includes:

  • Three-year deal with wage increases of 4%, 3%, 3%.
  • New sick leave provisions for term and casual employees.
  • New article on gratuities/tipping (to date, employees have not been permitted to collect tips).
  • New minimum staffing language.
  • New LOU for the parties to meet and develop a plan on designated hiring practices.
  • New fulsome tech change language.
  • Paid leave for Indigenous pursuits.
  • Expanded definition of “family.”
  • Expanded language for domestic violence leave, including definitions.
  • Replacing “merit-based” progression for casual employees with annual progression for wage steps.
  • A complete restructuring of the hours of work article that includes some important premiums during “show calls.”
  • Stronger protections in the discipline article that now includes “progressive discipline.”
