Good, family fun on Labour Day

Labour Day events swept across the North with resounding success September 1st, inviting community members from Rankin Inlet to Fort Smith to Yellowknife and Whitehorse to come join the Public Service Alliance of Canada and other labour movements for a free hamburger, a hot dog and a show of appreciation for their hard work in our communities.

Labour Day is a chance to celebrate the contributions of unions to our collective quality of life and a day to celebrate and honour the work of ordinary Canadians.

We thank everyone who took some time out of the last long weekend of the summer to commemorate how Labour Day came to be – through the contributions of unions and the Canadian workers that helped build our country.

Here are just a few of the great photos that were taken at events across the North.
