Our Community of the Month for January is Gamètì in the Northwest Territories. Gamètì or “Rabbit-net place” is located along the chain of waterways connecting Great Slave Lake to Great Bear Lake. Gamètì has been a traditional hunting area of the Tłı̨chǫ and Sahtu Dene peoples and was founded in the 1970s. To read more about this spectacular community, click here.
