Les Buss

Les is responsible for the supervision of all PSAC Regional Staff in the three Northern Territories. He is also responsible for the coordination and assignment of all staff duties, regional budget, and managing operations of our three regional offices.


Marija Babic

Marija has been a member of the union community for the last 16 years. Prior to joining the PSAC Regional Office in May of 2005 she has worked for the UNW Component. Marija's primary responsibility is maintaining Regional Office finances, member expense claims, travel and other administrative duties.

Marija has spent many years volunteering on the Local Executive and has a strong belief in union principles and social justice.


Jo Hogan

Jo is the Regional Secretary for the Yellowknife office. Jo, a proud Newfoundlander has lived in Yellowknife since 1997 with her husband , Brian and their children, Blair and Blaine. Jo has worked for PSAC since May 2005 and previously worked for The Union of Northern Workers in Membership Services for 3 years . Jo is responsible for Secretarial duties including reception, helps with travel and hotel accommodations for members and staff. Jo assists the Regional Representatives in preparing Education courses and Collective Agreements as well as other office duties. Jo is also a part of the Northern team responsible for maintaining this website and a part of the Regional Intranet Working Group for PSAC.


Dolly Ablitt

Dolly’s primary responsibility is the PSAC Education Program and budget.  She works closely with the Education Committee to plan, develop and deliver the Northern Education Program.  She is responsible for Regional Aboriginal Affairs, PSAC North Aboriginal Committee, NAIM, BHP cultural mobilization, NWT Education, regional negotiations, NWT Local Development and NT Alliance Facilitators Training Program. Dolly is also the Regional Representative assigned to all UNW locals in Yellowknife, the City of Yellowknife DCL and BHP Billiton Ekati Diamond Mine.


Anne Juneau

Since 1989, Anne has been involved in Union activities as a member of Canada Employment and Immigration Union, and a member of UNW. Her involvement has impressed upon her the necessity of being active in your Union to any capacity that you can. To that end, as a Regional Representative responsible for educating, representing and assisting members to become and remain involved in their Union, fulfills a passion she truly believes in.


Marilee McCallum

Marilee McCallum has worked for the Public Service Alliance of Canada since 2001 and started as the Administrative Assistant in the Yellowknife Regional Office.  From March 2005 until March 2007, Marilee was the Regional Representative for Nunavut and worked out of the Iqaluit Regional Office.

Since March 2007, Marilee has been working out of the Yellowknife Regional Office as the Regional Representative responsible for Health & Safety.  Marilee's other responsibilities include: negotiating collective agreements, facilitating union education courses, and mobilizing union members around national/regional campaigns and strikes, and providing assistance to PSAC locals and committees.

Marilee has lived in several communities in both the Northwest Territories and the Nunavut Territory for the past 20 years and hopes to continue serving union members in the north for many more years to come.


Stephen Bedingfield

Stephen Bedingfield is the Regional Negotiator serving the North out of the PSAC Yellowknife Office. Stephen has lived North of 60 with his wife Lynn since the mid-1970's, where they have raised their family. He served twenty years as the executive director of a social housing agency at the municipal level in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, while receiving his Diploma in Municipal Administration from McMaster's University. This was followed by a three-year stint with the Nunavut Employees Union as a regional service officer in Cambridge Bay. Stephen was instrumental in founding, and since 1997 has served on the Board of Directors, of the Northern Employee Benefits Services, a not-for-profit corporation providing group insurance and pension products to Northerners. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre (where he also serves as an usher).

Stephen's diverse interests include computer networking (an early adopter in 1982), corresponding with friends, astronomy (Life Member RASC, AAVSO, SETI) and star parties, travelling, music (eclectic tastes), and art appreciation (abstract expressionism, figures).


Steve Petersen

Steve is responsible for regional organizing, the Northern Territories Federation of Labour WCB proposal, PSAC North Health and Safety Committee, and the NT Area Council.
