We are looking for PSAC members to join the Host Committee for the 7th Triennial North Region Convention that will be held June 16-18, 2017 in Yellowknife, NT at the Explorer Hotel.

Healthy Apple Campaign volunteers (in selected communities)

Food banks across the North are facing dire food shortages, unable to keep up with the demand for families in need.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada North has pledged to assist food banks and the families they support through the Healthy Apple Campaign.

This campaign aims to help food banks restock their shelves by working with local grocery stores. Key items are labeled throughout the store, encouraging shoppers to pick up these hot-ticket foods and donate them to the local food bank.

That’s when members like you come into play! If you’d like to help out, but time is scarce and flexibility is key, this is your opportunity!

Email Cristina at popac@psac-afpc.com to check if your program is running in your community and become a Healthy Apple ambassador.

Join a regional committee

Did you know? The PSAC North Regional Council is our highest decision-making body in the region, bringing together duly elected or appointed representatives from all three territories.

The Council is partly composed of regional committee chairs. PSAC North Regional Committees help guide our union and protect the interests of our members. See a full list of Committees here (http://psacnorth.com/our-organization/regional-council-0).

Many of today’s leaders developed their skills, abilities and talents on a committee. They not only educated themselves, but also became an invaluable resource to local members, components and PSAC National.

If you are passionate about social and environmental justice issues, you will find a warm welcome awaits you! Activists are the heart of our union and your involvement will help ensure that our union and the labour movement continue to thrive.

Contact your PSAC Regional Office and let them know you’d like to get involved.
