Women's Committee in Yukon

PSAC North Yukon Regional Women's Committee gathered items to provide 25 starter baskets to the Yukon Women's Transition Homes. Each basket was filled with the basics to start a new home such as dishes, detergent, paper products, utensils, kitchen supplies including a pot, fry pan, measuring cups, oven mitts and dish towels. Items were sponsored by Canadian Tire and the Great Canadian Dollar Store. PaintMate Decorating Services assisted with pick up of the items.

There will be a Yukon Regional Women's Committee Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at YEU/PSAC Union Hall, Lucy Jackson Training Room.  Refreshments will be provided – please RSVP your attendance to: dalleys@psac-afpc.com or call 668-8593 and ask for Shawna.    For more information and agenda items, please view the attached poster.

The Whitehorse Regional Women’s and the Yukon Aboriginal Peoples’ committees hosted a teddy bear picnic for Jordan’s Principle, May 10.

There will be a PSAC North Whitehorse Regional Women's Committee Meeting - Special General Meeting in Whitehorse on Thursday, March 8.  The meeting will take place at the PSAC-YEU Union Hall-Lucy Jackson Training Room from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

PSAC North supports partnering organizations like Yukon Women's Transition Home, which has put together a series of videos to help those involved in a crisis. The three-part video series is called "Together for Safety" and involves six Whitehorse women's groups and Whitehorse RCMP working together to provide educated assistance for victims of sexualized assault or domestic violence. Watch and share the videos today.
